Miley Cyrus American Singer

Miley Cyrus was born on November 22, 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee. Her birth name is Destiny Hope Cyrus. She grew up on a big farm in Franklin, Tennessee until she was eight years old when her family moved to Toronto, Canada.

In 2006, Cyrus rose to prominence as a teen idol after being cast in the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana, in which she portrayed the starring character Miley Stewart. After signing a recording contract with Hollywood Records in 2007, she released Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus, which served as the series' soundtrack and Cyrus' debut studio album.

For the 2011 Guinness World Records, she was named the "Most Charted Teenager" following her 29th US Billboard Hot 100 chart entry on November 7, 2009 with "Party in the U.S.A.". By the age of 18, she had seven top-ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100, and had four RIAA certified albums. As of October 2013, Cyrus has nine top-ten hits on the Hot 100.

Miley Cyrus the young superstar reunited with former boyfriend Nick Jonas in 2009, of the musical group the Jonas Brothers. Cyrus was also previously linked to model Justin Gaston. In June 2012, after three years of dating, Cyrus announced her engagement to actor and Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth. At the 2014 MTV Video Music Award, Jimmy Fallon announced that Cyrus was the winner of the Video of the Year award for her song Wrecking Ball.
